Cancer: 1,077 women were screened in the Haut-Ogooué Province

​1,077 women have been screened in Haut-Ogooué since October 2015. Thanks to the new colposcope installed at the Amissa Bongo CHR, it will now be possible to confirm the diagnosis of women suspected of presenting with pre-cancerous lesions. Diagnosed, these lesions will be treated before they have a chance to develop into cancer.
